Thank you Kearny HS inviting us to speak alongside The Black Poster Project during the day to students and at night to the community! Our speakers shared about their stories of recovery, strength, and hope.
Through speaking honestly and openly about our stories of addiction where we were at their age, we hope to open the door to more conversation surrounding the topic and our mental health struggles that led us there.
Parent members who lost their children to overdose related deaths shared their stories during the evening event - they shared warning signs and things they wish they would have known when their child was struggling.
Thank you Chris D, Rob, Chris M, and parent members Bill and Betty! ❤🌎
Sending a HUGE thank you to Brick Memorial High School for hosting The Black Poster Project. So many showed up to the silent memorial in honor of lives lost to addiction. Thank you to our Brick Chapter Coordinator, Cheyenne, for helping this event be as big and powerful as possible.

Our 2022 Walk to Remember Event focused on Addiction Awareness AND Recovery. It featured a multitude of interactive displays and stations and The Black Poster Project: An impactful display of over 400 people who have lost their lives to overdoses and addictions.
This event would not have been possible without the help of the Westwood Community and so many others involved.
A special thank you to Captured by Raf for the event photography.
Recovery Day 2021 didn’t go as planned at Tallman Beach and Pool Club, but we made it work better than ever down the road at Rockland Lake! With live music from The 711 band, multiple speakers in recovery, vendors, and local resources of all kinds, we raised a lot of awareness and started the conversation with many regarding our mission to end the stigma that surrounds this brain disease.
Thank you to Isaac Stein for this video of A Walk to Remember, 2019.
